Two numbers, one phone
Most eSIM phones hold a physical SIM and an eSIM together, so work and personal can share a phone.
Does my phone support eSIM?
Will eSIM work on my phone?
The 10 second test: dial *#06#. If you see a number labelled EID, your phone takes an eSIM.
- iPhone iPhone XR, XS and every iPhone since.
- Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, and every Z Flip and Z Fold. Some A series models do, some do not.
- Google Pixel Pixel 3 and every Pixel since.
- Other brands Many recent Oppo, Motorola and Xiaomi phones do, but not all. The dial test above is the quickest way to know.
Bought your phone on a plan? Check it is not locked to that telco first. No EID? No problem. Choose a physical SIM at checkout and we post one free.

eSIM questions
Does my phone support eSIM?
Dial *#06#. If you see a number labelled EID, it does. As a guide, iPhone XR and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, and Google Pixel 3 and later all take an eSIM. If your phone came on a plan, check it is not locked to that telco.
What is an eSIM?
A SIM built into your phone. Instead of a plastic card in the post, you scan a code and your plan is installed in a few minutes. Nothing to wait for and nothing to lose.
How do I install my eSIM?
When your service is ready we email you a QR code. Connect to Wi-Fi, scan the code with your phone, and follow the prompts. It usually takes a few minutes.
Can I get a physical SIM instead?
Yes. Choose "Physical SIM" at checkout and add the street address to post it to.
Why do you need to check my ID?
Australian law requires every telco to confirm who you are before a mobile service is switched on. We ask after you pay, so it never slows down ordering. A driver licence, passport or Medicare card works.
What network does RedSpeed mobile use?
the Telstra mobile network (4G and 5G). RedSpeed is an independent Australian provider, not a Telstra brand.
